\u2018I actually cashed in the whole portfolio aside from one coal stock \u2026 and two gold stocks,\u2019 she said on the sidelines of the Rule Symposium. \u2018I\u2019ve been sitting in cash up until about two and a half weeks ago, when I\u2019ve come back in with quite big licks on four stocks, and I\u2019ve still got some cash where I\u2019m looking at some of the small caps.\u2019 <\/p>\n
One gold stock Stevenson is \u2018very happy\u2019 with is Spartan Resources (ASX:SPR,OTC Pink:GYYSF), formerly Gascoyne Resources, which she said has undergone a turnaround since Managing Director Simon Lawson took the helm. <\/p>\n
She\u2019s also looking outside the resource sector at biotech \u2014 Argenica Therapeutics (ASX:AGN) is a stock she likes in that sector. It\u2019s developing novel neuroprotective therapeutics to reduce brain damage for people who have had strokes. <\/p>\n
Stevenson also discussed trends in Australia\u2019s resource sector and why investor education is so important to her. <\/p>\n
\u2018If you\u2019re not investing your money, you\u2019re going backwards. Because inflation is here to stay, and no matter which way you look at it, if you\u2019re not trying to get ahead of the inflationary curve, you\u2019re going backwards,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n
